Sorry this is so delayed! I have been quite overwhelmed with the number of pictures it involves and just have not had the energy to attack it. Here goes...
The whole Cosby Fam was in Bakersfield for Christmas this year. It was perfectly wonderful! Deeds and I road tripped on down together the day after Olivia's wedding (Dec 22). It was a great trip with nothing too exciting to report.
We just chilled on Sunday.

On Christmas Eve, we went to Sequoia Sandwiches for lunch (best cookies on the planet earth). I long for those cookies daily. If it was possible to order them and have them delivered to me, I would probably do it and do it too often and be obese.

After Sequoia, the parentals took the kiddos home for naps and all us adult children went and saw The Hobbit. I love all things Hobbit/LOTR!
We headed over to the Petersen's for our annual Christmas Eve dinner and celebration. It never disappoints!

After dinner, we dinged the chimes and had a grand time! After chimes, Randy brought out a bunch of old instruments that were Grandpa Petersen's (Lester) and we sang all the Christmas carols again. Too too funny! Sometimes when I need a break from work, I'll cue up one of the videos we took this night and just laugh. What a special group!

Christmas morning, Deeds and I continued the tradition of waking up in the middle of the night and heading downstairs to see what Santa brought us. Then we go and watch a movie. When we were little, it was always a Christmas movie. This year...Tremors! An all-time classic! We always fall asleep watching the movie and wake up when everyone else comes downstairs.
There are few things better than Christmas morning with little kids. They are so excited and so chaotic.

It was a great Christmas with all the people I love the very most! I couldn't ask for more. When all the presents were unwrapped, my dad disappeared and came back with one more present. It was to Jack. He opened it and there was another present inside for Ryan, then another for Sophie, and so on....until Deeds opened the last present and there was a note inside saying we were all going to Disneyland! We cheered and my mom cried with joy (she does that). The next day, we were headed down to LA to enjoy our big family Christmas present.
Our first stop in SoCal was the beach. It was the most cold and windy beach time of my life...sand pelting my face. It was not pleasant.
Then we grabbed some dinner and crashed at our hotel. The next morning was Disneyland day!
These are our so-happy-we-are-going-to-Disneyland-today faces...

We headed to California Adventure for our second day. It was way less crowded and awesome! Don't tell anyone, but I like it more than Disneyland. Well I like them both for different reasons, but California Adventure has all my favorite rides!
As soon as we walked through the gates, Amy and I headed to the Fast Pass line for the new Cars ride. The line for the Fast Pass was over a half hour long. Terrible! But it ended up being a real life saver!

We got home way late that night and had the funniest experience. After my parent's house was burglarized a couple of years ago, they had a security system installed. The car I was in got home before my parents, so it was up to us to enter the house and disarm the security system. Deeds opened the door and bolted in to punch in the code. The beeping did not stop. He tried again and again and again. Beeping continued. We were scared that at any minute the po-po was going to show up. We called the parentals and they said the front door had to be closed before it work. So Deeds closed the front door and tried the code again. No dice! We were all freaking out and also laughing because this was so ridiculous! Then Deeds disappeared in the house for along time. Amy and I didn't know what he was up to, but we could still hear the beeping. Suddenly Deeds emerged with Jack's new spaceship alarm clock. Somehow the alarm on that thing had been set and it was the thing that was beeping, not the alarm. Hahahaha...that is quite the alarm clock!
It was a really great vacation! I love being with my family, and it is extra special and rad when EVERYONE gets to be home for Christmas! Thank you to my parents for an awesome time and a great Disneyland adventure!
