I was so excited to celebrate our first Christmas together! This was my first Christmas not being with my family. I thought I was going to be super homesick and sad, but it turns out that I wasn't at all. No offense mi familia! I woke up approximately 103 times during the night and couldn't wait for it to be morning! Finally I woke James up at 6am and said we had to start Christmas! James family has a tradition of taking a family picture in the hallway with everyone lined up behind each other. Here is our picture...

| See those two cute advent calendars?! They were so fun! |
That elf advent calendar seen in the picture above had little treats and
presents in each little pocket for me from James. It was so exciting
to have a little present every morning in December...especially when the
little present were my favorite See's candies! James arranged it so that I would turn over the last piece of our Nativity advent calendar...baby Jesus!
My family has a tradition where there is a present from Santa (usually unwrapped but I forgot to give James...I mean Santa...that memo) sitting out by our stuffed stockings. It was so fun blending some of both of our family's traditions and starting some of our own!
 |
| Chariots of Fire...bought this for him at Costco with him right there. He had forgotten we bought it. Yippee! |
 |
| French cuffed shirt and cuff links. |
 |
| James got me this stunning camel's hair coat. Love! |
 |
| He also got me this fancy bottle of balsamic vinegar. He knows my love of vinegar well and balsamic is my fav! |
A food tradition from my family is the tea ring...basically a ring of cinnamon rolls. This tradition had to be passed on!
A new food tradition we started is bacon. Every Christmas morning from here on, we will eat bacon. And not the cheap-o bacon you buy in a box, but the bacon you buy from the butcher. Yummm!
After we opened presents and ate our breakfast feast, we headed over to Dedo's for a Christmas visit. I sure love her! We love going to her house and talking and telling stories. I got to see a member of my family after all! All my Wright cousins were there too so it was really fun.
Then we headed to James' parent's house for the rest of day. It was a wonderful Christmas day!
