January in Summary

Ok, I have officially become the worst blogger!  In an effort to get caught up before the baby arrives, I am going to blog one month at a time.  Sorry for the picture overload and lameness.  I can't promise its going to get any better either.  Let's be honest, it will probably get worse.  But here's to somewhat maintaining my own personal history...

In mid January, we continued our tradition of a besties progressive dinner.  It was stellar once again!  We started at Tricia's with appetizers and salad, then made our way to the Schofield's for the main course.  We ended at our house for dessert.  Deeds and Kim were coming into town that night so Kim could look for wedding dresses the next day, so Deeds was nice enough to take a picture of our progressive dinner crew.  I sure love these friends and I'm so happy that we still spend time together!

While Deeds was in town, we went to Lonestar Taqueria.  Don't have a single picture of Deeds, but here's James enjoying his burrito!

Later in January, we were starting and ending projects.  T, O, and I have decided to make Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings quiet books.  This is mostly just to have an ongoing project to work on so we have an excuse to get together every so often.  We met at Joann's one Saturday and bought all the felt that we will need.  Check out that receipt!  We almost broke Joann's!
That afternoon, James and I worked on a couple of projects around the house that were on list of things to get done before the baby comes.  I sewed curtains for our kitchen window.  Sewing and I don't get along the best (especially with a large belly in the way), so it was not the most fun and they are not the most pretty, but they will get the job done.
James constructed the workbench he got from my parents for Christmas.  He loves it and it fits in our garage perfectly!

This is me and sewing not getting along.

The first run on a finished product.  Even though I measured them many times, they ended up slightly different lengths and not even long enough to cover the bottom of the window.  Oy vei!
About a week later, I worked up the motivation to "fix" them.  I added loops at the top to lengthen them and attempted to make them the same length.  The right one is still slightly longer.  That may or may not get fixed.
We got to babysit little Sadie lady one night.  She is so sweet!  She loved James this time.  He's going to be such a good daddy!
And here's just a random pregnancy pic...29 weeks!

There's January!

Another Year in the Books

Ryan and Kara drove back to Utah the same day that we did and they stayed with us for a couple of day.  Hurray!  It was so fun that the holidays hadn't quite ended yet because they were here.  Ryan and James both worked on New Years Eve day, so Kara and I hung out and ran some errands.  That evening we had a little New Years Eve party.

Our poor, dry, droopy tree that was not watered for over a week!
The party consisted of one round of PR, Martinelli's at about 10pm, and being in bed around 10:30pm.  Perfect for this pregnant lady!

There is definitely a pregnant belly there!
This year has been so eventful for us!  We went on some awesome trips, bought a house, and got pregnant!  We feel so blessed!  Here's what was marked off the bucket list in 2014:

1)  See Mount Rushmore - 05/24/2014
2)  I marked Alaska off my list of states I still need to visit.  I'm up to 31/50 visited! - 08/10/14
I also did a session at the Anchorage Temple marking another new temple off my list.
3)  Own a home - 08/14/2014
4)  Fly first class - 08/14/2014
5)  Memorize The Living Christ - 12/31/2014

This upcoming 2015 is going to be quite the adventure!  Looking forward to it!
