Progressive Dinner with the Besties

Last weekend the besties and I organized a little progressive dinner.  We started at Tricia's with the appetizer and salad...chips, salsa, and guacamole and southwest salad.  So delicious!
Our new friend on the left is Sarah, T's new roommate.  We love her!
Then we made our way down to our house for the main course...sweet pork burritos, black beans, and cilantro rice.
The puzzle sucked most of us in after dinner.

We finished off the night at Jake and Olivia's for dessert...chocolate lava cakes and ice cream...and some Mario Bros on the Wii.  It was a lot of fun!

Look at baby Scho baking in Olivia's belly.  Can't wait to meet her!
Remember how I have the bestest friends on earth?!  Yep...still do!

We're Off to the Symphony!

James and I had tickets to the Utah Symphony's performance of the Music of Pixar last weekend.  Unfortunately, James has come down with strep throat.  Poor husband!  He was miserable the day of the Symphony, so I called in reinforcements.  Jack was my date!  It was pretty lucky that it was the music of Pixar and not a classic symphony performance.  Perfect for a 5-year-old date!
We started off with dinner at the City Creek Center.
Then we hopped on TRAX over to Abravenal Hall.  Jack thought the sculpture in the lobby was the "grossest" thing he had ever seen.
We had a few minutes to wander around and take lots of funny pictures.

Jack was also horrified by the picture of this kind woman.  Here is his imitation of her.
Having some fun during intermission...

A cool picture of the temple from inside the lobby.

If my handsome husband can't be my date, then I'll take this handsome nephew any day!

He was completely enthralled!  So cute!

Headed home on TRAX
When Jack and I left for the symphony, Sophie came complete unglued.  She was in hysterics.  It broke my heart!  A few days later I took her on a special date to see Frozen.  She wouldn't go with me alone, so Jack came too.  We had a great time!  Complete with dinner and churros at Costco afterward.  I hope she forgives me!

Happy New Year!!

We had a little New Years party at our apartment this year.  It was the typical Cosby New Years celebration...food, games, and just chillin'...

Welcoming in 2014!

2013 was such a tremendous year!  It will be a year that I remember and celebrate forever!  Here are the things I crossed off my bucket list in order of them happening:
#58 - Get a professional massage - 3/1/2013
#57 - Shoot a bow and arrow - 3/5/2013
#81 - Go curling - 3/9/2013
#40 - Take a cooking class - 3/16-17-2013
#76 - Win something in a raffle - 5/11/2013
#77 - Eat a maple donut with bacon crumbles on top - 5/27/2013
#17 - Get married in the temple - 9/20/2013

I'd say I ended the year on the highest note ever!  Can't wait for 2014!
