June is Gone Already?!

June has already come and gone. I don't know how it happened!  In June, Dan and Amy moved to a new house in Lehi.  It was pretty exciting!  Their new home is beautiful and makes me want to move.  My mom came up for a week to help Amy unpack and organize her new house.  They came over one afternoon to go swimming here at our apartment.
Have you ever seen a cuter baby?

My swimming buddies.
One Friday night, James planned a day for us.  He knows that camping and campfires are my very favorite, so he planned a bonfire date up American Fork Canyon.

James bought Pillsbury biscuits instead of buns to put our hot dogs in.  We roasted the hot dogs and then wrapped them in biscuit dough and cooked them over the fire.  It was quite an adventure because the biscuits were the extra buttery variety so they didn't want to stick to the hot dogs or anything.  They were still so delicious!
We also roasted corn and half of James' got very well done.  Haha!

We got to babysit these kiddos a couple of times.  We love spending time them.  James and I have earned #1 favorite aunt and uncle status.  We are going to have to work hard maintain our status!

The second half of June was consumed with soccer.  We watched every World Cup match that we possibly could.  We blew up the air mattress one Sunday and watched match after match.  I told James we had to do this because it reminded me of the World Cup that Roxy and I watched when we were in college.  The games then were on in the middle of the night so we would pull our mattresses out into the front room and set our alarms to wake up in the middle of the night to watch the matches.
Even though the US did better than expected, it still crushed my soul when they were eliminated.  We had so much fun having World Cup parties with James' family to watch games.  It was just an exciting time!  Can't wait for 2018!!
