A few days ago, Amy and I took the littles to the dinosaur museum. Porter has started to become a bit obsessed and calls them "so-saurs" and roars like them. How does he learn these things? I don't get it. They had a blast.
The first home football game finally arrived. Who knows that this season will bring, but that first game is always so exciting! Always good to be back in the ol' LaVell Edwards Stadium!
Yesterday was a perfect fall day, so we decided to take a drive up the canyon to see the leaves changes. It turns out that everyone else in the world had the same idea. Cars were backed up for miles to get into the canyon (okay, maybe not miles, but it was still absurd), so we headed down to Provo to come around the back way. By the time we got there, Porter was done being in the car.
We stopped at a trailhead to let him run around for a while.
That turned out to majorly backfire, because putting him back into the car sent him into complete hysterics. Our beautiful peaceful Sunday afternoon drive turned into a hot mess. We were in the home stretch when the thought occurred to me that Porter just need his blanket or bear, and he would be asleep. We hadn't brought either of those things. What did we have in the car that could be a stand in blanket? Nothing. Well, actually, we did have our clothes we were wearing. I promptly took off my shorts, handed them to Porter, and rode the rest of the way home sans bottoms. Porter was asleep within 30 seconds and the last maybe 6 minutes of our drive were peaceful and perfectly fall.
haha! funny story about your shorts Ker.
