A Hobbit's Tale

One may ask what in the world the name of this blog means. Let me explain. My dad has called me "Sherwi" (the "r" is sort of silent, hard to explain how to pronounce it)my whole life. I'm not sure where it comes from. Maybe it was the way I said my own name when I was a wee tot. Nonetheless, it has stuck with me my whole life. When Lord of the Rings became popular, my brothers started calling me Sherwi Baggins due to my tall stature. I'm honored to have it as a nickname. Hobbits rock!

Nana is a Skydiver

On Wednesday, Porter and I headed out to Tooele with a bunch of the Taylor fam to watch Aubrey and Nana skydive. This was Aubrey's birthday present, and Sondra has always wanted to do it, so she went for it! It's not everyday you see a 72-year-old skydive!

Not gonna lie...I was pretty dang jealous! James and I talked about joining in, but we thought it probably wasn't the wisest thing to do with a 1-year-old and being between jobs. It's so expensive! Hopefully next time! Or maybe when I'm 72!
