Museum of Natural Curiosity and Sick Buddy

Last Friday, I took a half day, and Porter and I joined Amy and her kids at the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  This was the first time Porter has ever been there.  He was in heaven!  I think he would have played in there for hours and hours.  It was quite relaxing too just to watch him play and not have to entertain him.  He loved being with other kids and it is good for him to learn how to share!

Porter has had a runny nose for just about forever it seems.  He has 4 teeth coming in, so I figured it was all just because he is teething, but he came down with something more.  Poor little guy is pretty miserable.  He still is sleeping pretty well, but he's really clingy and need during the day.
He never ever sits still.  Poor guy!
He never ever falls asleep in the car anymore.
And he never ever falls asleep in our arms or cuddles.
So it wasn't fun to have a sick little guys, but James and I sure loved the snuggles!  Let's hope this bug it on it's way out!

Family Pictures

We had family/Porter's 1-year-old pictures done last night.  I'm really happy with how they turned out.  I was curious to see how they would keep Porter in one place to take a decent photo, and they did a pretty good job!
Blowing kisses!

I know...he's the cutest kid on the planet!

Porter's Birthday Party

We celebrated Porter's birthday with all the fam yesterday evening.  We love any excuse to spend time with family, so even though Porter won't have any memory of this day, I hope he can look back and pictures and see how many people love him.
You should have see our kitchen when I was making this thing...frosting everywhere!  And it was fast Sunday so I couldn't even lick it!

After cake and ice cream, we gave Porter a bath and then he opened a few presents.
S was so helpful showing Porter the ropes!

That morning, James was ordained a high priest and set apart as a the first counselor in our bishopric.  Life is sure going to change as we know it, but James will be outstanding in this calling!
I'm accepting applications for anyone who wants to sit with us at church on Sunday's and keep this boy entertained and contained!  I'm exhausted just thinking about it!  He is a busy one!
Sunday walk in the neighborhood!
