One of the things I love about our new apartment is that its about 5 minutes from the Grossen's house so we get to play with them a lot. Remember the Smithsonian science projects we got for Jack for his birthday? One afternoon last week, I headed up to babysit the kiddos and we busted out the excavation packet. Jack loved getting out his excavation tools and mining for gems and stone. How cute is he with his goggles?!
He loved it and wanted to do the other two science experiments too. I talked him into saving them for another day. There is a rocket launcher and a volcano.
This last weekend was the last weekend before a new little baby joins the Grossen home, so James and I had Jack and Sophie over for a little sleepover to let Amy and Dan sleep in once before the bambino arrives. We made pizzas, played hide-and-go-seek (which according to Jack I earned no fame in...haha!), played board games, and watched Finding Nemo. It was so much fun! Jack was sawing logs about half way into the movie, but Sophie just wouldn't give it up. We are pretty sure she was sleep walking/talking by the end. It was hilarious, but she would not close those eyes!
We woke up around 6:15am the morning to sound of the kids playing Boggle. That is quite a startling sound to wake up to! We had so much fun! Hope we can do it again soon!
A few days later, it was Halloween. Here are the fruits of our visit to the pumpkin patch...
We went up to the Grossen's before they headed out trick-o-treating to see the kids in their costumes. The best Hulk and Cinderella out there!
My mom had arrived in town that morning because a new little baby was scheduled to join us the next day!! Love all my babies!
One may ask what in the world the name of this blog means. Let me explain. My dad has called me "Sherwi" (the "r" is sort of silent, hard to explain how to pronounce it)my whole life. I'm not sure where it comes from. Maybe it was the way I said my own name when I was a wee tot. Nonetheless, it has stuck with me my whole life. When Lord of the Rings became popular, my brothers started calling me Sherwi Baggins due to my tall stature. I'm honored to have it as a nickname. Hobbits rock!

Fall Leaves and Football
Yesterday, James and I decided to enjoy the beautiful fall weather and take the long way down to Provo to the football game. We drove the Alpine Loop from American Fork Canyon down to Provo Canyon. I think everyone else on earth had the same idea because it was crowded, but it was truly stunning!
Oh how I love it here...especially the mountains! After the temple, we headed to the stadium for the game and met up with the gang. We missed two home football games while were on our honeymoon, so we were very excited to get back cheering for the Cougs!
| We went to the temple before the football game which is why we have church clothes on! |
