The Red Barn

Last weekend we joined up with Kara and Ryan to go down to the Red Barn in Santaquin.  We almost didn't go because it was raining, but we went for it anyway and it cleared up right before we got there.  It was such a perfect evening.  It was perfectly fall in every way...the best time of year!

Hayride out to the pumpkin patch

Never been anything cute than that face!
I nailed my target with the apple cannon and it was awesome!

Farmer boy just like his great grandpa Merrell who he's named after!

I love how his smile fills up his whole face!

Made it through the corn maze!
We finished the night off by picking a few pumpkins from the pumpkin patch.
I already can't wait for fall next year so that we can go back.  So fun!

Church History Museum

One morning last week, Amy texted me saying that her and Kara were taking the kids downtown to the newly updated Church History Museum and asked if Porter and I wanted to come.  Just like that I was taking a half day of work and heading up to Salt Lake.  It was really fun and the new museum is really amazing!  I need to take James back to see it.

How many strollers can you fit in an elevator?
A new interactive map board that shows were saint immigrated from...maps are awesome!
Sophie gave a talking in General Conference...she is so cute!  It was all about being nice like Jesus.
It was pretty wild keeping track of this whole crew, but we had so much fun!

I dream of the day that I don't have to work and can join Amy and Kara on all their mothering adventures so that Porter can grow up playing a lot with his cousins!  For now I will take any excuse to take a day off work!

Carrots

Here are pictures of Porter trying carrots for the first time.  He loved them.  So far he is a great eater!  Fingers crossed that he stays that way!

 A little unsure at first...
