Times They are a Changin'!

Back in January, James' car started making a rattling sound in the engine.  We took it to a mechanic friend of his and without even lifting the hood, he said we needed to start thinking about getting a new car.  Ummm...that is not in the budget!  He gave us a couple of suggestions to help the engine last longer, and we tried to make it last as long as possible.  It wasn't too much longer before we were dropping it off a pick-a-part place for $450.  We had just put all new tires on it about a month before.  We basically got back what we paid for the tires. Blows my mind that an entire car could only be worth $450.  So any way...it was a sad day!

Goodbye white Subi!
Then we started the very painstaking task of car shopping.  It was horrendous.  I've decided its worse than dating.  We looked at lots and lots of cars.  We wanted something that we could pay cash for that would last a few years.  Nothing ever felt right.  We would go for spurts where we would look really hard and look at a lot of cars.  Then we would get burnt out and take a week or two off.  We were a one car family.  It wasn't so bad.  We made it work.
Finally we decided to increase our budget and look for something newer that would last a long time.  Just last week we welcomed this beauty to the family...

Isn't he awesome?!  We love him!
Jack and Sophie love him too!
We decided to name him Darrell Atticus (DA for short).  James loves To Kill a Mockingbird and the character of Atticus Finch.  He said he would name a child Atticus if I would let him.  Well, I won't let him...so we named our car Atticus instead.  Darrell come from our favorite character on the Walking Dead.  We are so grateful to have a new car and that we were able to get by with only one car several weeks.
One night I came home from a night out with Noelle and Sondra, and James was sitting in DA waiting to go for a drive.  We drove up to the temple.  It was so beautiful!
James said he just wanted to take me for a ride in our new car!  Welcome to the fam, DA!  We hope you last us for a very long time because car shopping nearly killed me!

Baby Scho

Last Saturday, little Sadie Schofield was born!  Earlier in the month, Tricia and I helped with a baby shower (Raegan did all the work really) for Olivia and we went to get pedicures...pink toes for the little lady!

James and I headed over to the hospital to meet little Sadie and to visit with Jake and Olivia.  What an exciting time!  She is so perfect!

I'm so excited for Olivia to be a mom.  She is going to be so amazing at it!  All she ever wanted was to be a wife and mom.  Sadie lady (as I like to call her) is so lucky to be born to these two great friends of mine.  Let parenthood begin!  Hopefully Sadie is the first of many baby Scho's!

Tortilla Bar and Cosby Weekend

I can't remember why we went to Tortilla Bar a couple of weekends ago (probably just because it is the most delicious food on earth), but we went and it was amazing.  So amazing I had to take pictures apparently!
Manchego apple salad and horchata.
Doing what we love to do most...eating at yummy restaurants!

Our tacos...hanger steak, pork, and chicken I think...can't remember now but they were to die for!

On the way home we had to stop at Walmart in AF and there was a full rainbow.  It was rad!

Just this last weekend, the Idaho Cosby's blew into town for a few days.  That always requires lots of family time!
My little Lukester!
Me and Wy guy!  He's getting so big!
We went down to Saratoga Springs to meet James for work at Sean's BBQ.

As much outside time as possible for the end of March.
Deeds surprised us and just showed up late Friday night.  One of his friends was coming down for the weekend, so he joined her (yes, its a lady friend!  We'll see what happens!).

These three become little crazies when they are all together.  We had lunch Sunday at our apartment before all the Idahoans had to head home.  My stationary bike is always a hit with the chitlins...not sure why.
It is always so much fun when we get to be together!
