So Much Gratitude

James and I headed to B-town USA for Thanksgiving this year.  I was soooo excited for this trip!  It was James' first time seeing the house and town I grew up in.  My whole fam (minus Deeds) was there, and we got to attend the sealing of the Kendall Cosby family.  What an amazing experience!  The weather was amazing the whole time we there, and it was just a great time!
We arrived Tuesday night, and then just hung out on Wednesday.  We went over to the Petersen's for dinner and to celebrate Becca's birthday.
Thanksgiving morning, we did our annual Turkey Trot 5k. It was mostly a Turkey stroll, but it is always nice to get out there and get moving.
Then we got some of the food prepped and the boys and I headed out to go shooting.  Enjoy these beauties...

My hardcore shooting face...and it was windy freezing.

Then we headed back and helped my mom get everything ready for the big dinner.  Randy, Becca, and Kory joined us.  It was such a delicious feast!

Isaac only wanted to eat rolls.  He was told he could not have this one until he ate some turkey.  Haha!  His face kills me!

Family, food, and football...that's all you need for a successful Thanksgiving.  And a successful Thanksgiving it was!
Friday morning we headed down to LA for the Cosby family sealing.  If you remember last November, I joined my whole fam in Denver for the baptism of Staci, Trevor, and Rachel.  Just about exactly one year later, we were all together again for their sealing in the Los Angeles Temple.  It was a truly unforgettable experience.  The Spirit was so strong, and I think we all could feel our grandpa and grandma there with us.  Harold and Edda's children are now all sealed to their families forever.  It doesn't get any better than that!

Amy and Dan recreated one of their wedding pictures about 6.5 years and 3 kids later.  Love them!

I love the LA Temple at Christmas!

After the sealing, we all went to Hacienda Heights for a party.  There was yummy food, dancing, and lots of visiting with cousins.  It was so great!
The kids were cuttin' a rug all night!

I love that Kendall and Staci went all out and got a wedding dress and tuxedo.  So happy for them!

We stayed at hotel that night and then headed to the beach on Saturday.  It was 75 degrees on November 30 at Huntington Beach.  God Bless California!  The kids were in heaven!

This kid is a natural athlete.  It's so incredible to me!  It's too bad he's going to be like 5'3"...story of my life!

Then we headed back to Bakersfield for the rest of the weekend.  Here are a few random shots from the weekend...
I am in love with my sweet little Luke-ster!

This face cracks me up!  I love his kisses!

Look at those cute boys!

These cousins love each other!

It was really the best trip ever!  I am so incredibly blessed with the best husband and family ever!  It was so fun to show James around.  We went out to Lakeside Union School and Ridgeview High School.  We went to church there at the building that I grew up in.  We slept in the room that Amy and I shared growing up.  So fun!  I hate when vacations have to end!
