Baby Wyatt's Blessing

James and I headed up to Boise again last weekend for Wyatt's baby blessing. It was awesome blossom extra awesome because the whole fam was there including Dedo! We left Thursday night after work and went straight to Deedsy's abode. On Friday morning, we headed over to Kara and Ryan's to play with the fam. We weren't there more than 20 minutes, and this was happening...

Bury James in all the couch cushions and pillows!

And not too longer after that, the babies were taking naps and we were playing PR...

And working an awesome puzzle that James brought...

We made lots of good food and had lots of mugging on Wyatt time!

That night we went to a frozen yogurt place for dessert.

On Saturday morning, we threw together a quick family picture...BYU theme! Thank you, tripod!

After the photo shoot, we headed downtown to the farmer's market.

And mugged on baby Wyatt more!

And the little boys ran through the sprinklers for about 5 minutes...

Lots of iPad and Kindle games to keep the kids occupied...

We celebrated my mom's retirement that night as well. She is BEYOND excited to not have to work anymore. I can only dream of such a thing! My mom's income paid for all four of our college tuitions for all four years. Thank you, Mom! Thank you just isn't enough...what a gift to us all!

Sunday morning was church and the blessing. Wyatt was perfect and Ryan gave him a beautiful blessing. He is such good baby! I wish I could kiss him every day!

After church, we had a luncheon at Kara and Ryan's, and then all us Utah people headed home. My parents headed down south with us and stayed a few days on their way back to Bakersfield.
We went down to Provo Canyon one day and hiked to Steward Falls. It was a fairly easy hike, but it was about 4 miles roundtrip. Jack and Soph's are hiking champions!

After the hike, we headed to the Tortilla Bar for lunch and met James there. We had to teach everyone about this delicious food! Yummm!

I'm so grateful for the time we could all spend together as a family! They are my most favorite people ever!

Red Rock and RSL and New Wallpaper

After work one day, I headed down to Draper and Amy and I took the kids on a little hike near their house. It is probably about 0.25 miles or maybe a half a mile. The kids were awesome! Jack was our tour guide and started us off by outlining all the hiking rules. 1) Stay on the trail 2) Don't touch the plants because you might touch poison ivy. Cracked me up!

Poor little lady doesn't have any tennis shoes that fit right now. Flip flops it is!

I couldn't get her to look up at the camera, but there's the Draper Temple in the background!

Jack is a very timid hiker and he gets really nervous is the trail gets narrow at all. Sophie is hard core. Once we got to the Red Rock, there was a steep path up to the top of the rock. Jack would have nothing to do with it, but Sophie was all about it. Every time she and I would make it to the top of a steep stretch she would exclaim, "I did it!" I love her! I might have found myself a new hiking companion!

James took me to a Real Salt Lake game on Saturday. So so fun! It was a perfect night too weather-wise. I hope we go to a few more of those!

Amy stopped by my work one day for a visit and brought me Subway. This is what my wall looked like after they left...

Being an aunt is truly the greatest! Jack brought a paper over and he had written his entire first and last name. Way too smart!

Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day weekend took James and I up to Boise because I absolutely could not wait another minute to meet my new little nephew Wyatt. We left Thursday night after work and got to Ryan and Kara's around 11:30pm. First order of business...go look at Wyatt sleeping!
The next morning, James and I took Isaac for a bike ride around the neighborhood and to the park.

After Ryan got home from work and Isaac took a nap, we headed over to Wahooz for some mini putt. Every time I would talk to Isaac before our trip up there, he would talk to me about golfing and flying a kite. We definitely had to do both!

On Saturday morning, we headed to downtown Boise to the farmers market. I love farmers markets! There are so many interesting people to look at and so much good food to sample! We ate lots of yummy eats!

After the farmers market, Deeds took James and I to Nampa to show us his workplace and his apartment. We played on all the fun equipment at his physical therapy office for a long time. So fun! Come to find out, I have week hips and things that are swollen in my knees that shouldn't be. I'm getting so old!
After our Nampa adventures, we went back to Kara and Ryan's and helped plant their garden and some flowers. We got a lot of yard work done, and it was just awesome to be outside! What a perfect weather weekend!

After dinner, we headed over to the park to fly a kite. Isaac did not stop talking about flying his kite all day. We didn't have a ton of success, but I think he loved it anyway.

Kara came and met us after feeding Wyatt.

This little carrier is so perfect. I got to take Wyatt with me on a walk Monday morning with it.

Sunday morning I woke up to Kara laying Wyatt on the pillow right by my head. There is no better way to wake up! Look how cute this baby is (excuse the morning face and hair on my part!)...
